Job Position: Trainee Operators
Reference No: TO/01B
The Job:
The successful and selected candidates will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned plants on a shift basis.
Job Scope
Operate the process and service units within the prescribed limits and standards to achieve production targets.
Execute on a daily basis, routine and non-routine operations for the assigned area taking due care to implement all HSE considerations for the activity.
Prepare equipment for maintenance in accordance with appropriate procedures
Participate in shutdowns
Manage process and service unit’s start-ups and shutdowns competently without affecting units that are to remain online. Copied from: hotnigerianjobs.com-
Undertake constant evaluation of plant-operating conditions and promptly resolve abnormalities.
Ensure effective start-off-shift orientation and shift handover.

The right candidates should:
Possess a National Diploma (ND)/HND with a minimum of Upper Credit in Chemical, process, Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Must have completed NYSC programme by October 2012 (if applicable).

its sad that a government established company is discriminating between HND an.d BSC. if you guys think BSC holders are better than HND holders, why not close down all the polytechnics in this country and let us have only universities. even abroad they respect polytechnic because it was seen as a practical based school while university is theoretical. this is highly unfair to HND holders, and most of these so call BSC holder are not better than them. ITS A BIG DISGRACE TO NIGERIA AND ITS GOVERNMENT TO BE DISCRIMINATING ITS ESTABLISHED SCHOOLS. SHAME TO YOU AT NNPC, KEEP DISCRIMINBATING AND YOU WILL NEVER GET THE BEST.

Good day sir/madam please u would have not place restriction on the year OND was obtain. For instance u place it to be in 2006 while my ond was obtain in 2002. my HND was in 2010. And nothing i can do than to take the last limit 2006. So release years of limit to accommodate more people thanks
