Appointment of University Libarian
The position of University Librarian of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. Nigeria is vacant, Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for  the position.

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess a good honours Degree with minimum of Second Class Lower Division, Masters and Doctorate Degree in Library or information Science or related field from a recognized University.
• Candidate must also have at least fifteen(15) years post-qualification, full time, cognate experience in the University or similar system, the last five of which must he in high management position of not below the rank of a Deputy University Librarian.
• A strong proof of continuing research with appreciable evidence of scholarly publications both in quality and quantum in reputable international and national journals is required.
• Candidate must be able to provide academic and administrative leadership.
• The candidate must he conversant with current trends in information communication technology and E-learning.
• He/she should be able to demonstrate good international experience for promoting international linkages with other libraries.

Salary and Condition of Service

• The remuneration and other conditions of service are as applicable to the post of UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN of all Nigerian Federal Universities and as may be determined from time-to-time by the Goverment Governing Council as appropriate.
• Fringe benefits include a Pension in consonance with the Contributory Pension Scheme and appropriate allowances as may he approved from time-to-time by the Government/Governing Council.
