Job Title: Fleet Manager

Job Descriptions
- The HealthPlus Group has an exciting and immediate opening for a collaborative, innovative and resulted-oriented Fleet Manager. The Fleet Manager will be accountable for overall supervision of the HealthPlus Group fleet.
- This position will be responsible for the implementation of fleet optimisation strategies, managing all related budgets, developing continuous improvement strategies for asset utilisation and vehicle maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning and controlling all activities connected with safe and efficient operation of the Company fleet (motor vehicles and motorcycles)
- Supervise the sourcing, purchase, leasing, allocation and maintenance of vehicles in the company
- Liaise with Company approved service centers/workshop to ensure that the vehicles and motorcycles that you are directly responsible for are correctly serviced and repaired in accordance with the Company/OEM& maintenance system and schedules.
- Ensure Company fleet is operated to meet all legal requirements and safety standards at all times
- Monitor status of vehicles and motorcycles, conduct periodic inspection survey of assigned vehicles and motorcycles and follow up on identified defects
- Track, report and forecast fleet metrics (including fuel and maintenance spend, motor vehicle insurance, asset utilisation) and develop annual fleet budget
- Strictly follow and ensure that all direct reports understand and adhere strictly to Company Health, Safety, Security and Environmental requirements, as statutorily determined and in compliance with Company operating procedures.
- Manage, coach, counsel and motivate Company drivers and dispatch riders to ensure they are punctual and available for work at all times
- Proactively coordinate drivers' operations (licenses, permits, fuel cards, toll access and SLA's for vehicle maintenance & cleanliness) to minimise and resolve them swiftly
- Acquire, analyse and interpret real-time fleet data to produce proper documentation and regularly report on key performance indicators
- Ensure service delivery objectives are met while seeking opportunities to reduce costs and stream line the process
- Maintain a comprehensive database of all vehicles and motorcycles to keep a track on their locations and conditions
- Supervise maintenance and repairs of vehicles in order to reduce operating cost on vehicles
- Leverage innovative, leading-edge approaches within fleet management, be proactive in identifying and mitigating risk associated with fleet vehicles and motorcycles
- Ensure all required registration documents are valid, complete and are available on demanded. Renewals must be done a month to expiration of any statutory document.
- Develop and maintain a thorough and current knowledge base of all applicable federal/provincial government regulations, state transport obligations, and safety policies
Desired Skills & Experience
- A good Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline
- 5 to 7 years relevant fleet management/operations experience with demonstrated and proven track record within operational fleet environment
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to project patience, empathy, and listening skills, in person and on the phone
- Ability to communicate with co-workers and customers in a professional business manner
- Knowledge and understanding of HSE and responsibilities
- Experience with logistics information systems
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently as well as within a team and develop logical recommendations from data analysis
- Excellent negotiation and organisational skills, with high level of accuracy/attention to detail
- Business focused and skilled in recognising expense savings opportunities
- Proven planning skills with strong interpersonal relationship approach
- Technical knowledge specific to the automotive industry is considered an asset
- A project/fleet management certificate is considered an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office packages, like Word, PowerPoint and Excel
