1.) Research Chemist (Ref: RC 2010)
Job Specification:
Report to the Group Research & Business Development Manager, have responsibility for the development and implementation of analytical methods and procedures and quality assurance on raw materials, products under development and finished products.
Qualifications:
(1) B.Sc /M.Sc Analytical /Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Chemistry. Membership of ICCON /IPAN.
(2) Five 0 'Level Credits, including Maths & English at not more than two sittings.
The Person:
Organized, reliable and resourceful with good interpersonal, analytical/problem solving skills and exceptional degree of sustained creativity.
Experience:
5yrs cognate experience in a similar position in food analysis laboratory
2.) Research Food Technologist (Ref: RFT 2010)
Job Specification:
Report to the Group Research & Business Development Manager, will provide rheological and microbiological data on raw materials, in process and finished products. Quality assurance through lab evaluation of raw materials, products under development and finished products.
Qualifications:
(1) B.Sc./M.Sc Food Science & Technology. Membership of NIFST.
(2) Five 0 'Level Credits, including Maths & English at not more than two sittings.
The Person:
Organized, reliable and resourceful with good interpersonal, analytical/problem solving skills and exceptional degree of sustained creativity.
Experience:
5 yrs hands-on experience in a similar R & D environment in Food & Allied Industry, research institute or academia; working knowledge of HACCP, Glutomatic, RVA, Viscometer, Consistometer for evaluation of rheological/functional properties of Flour and Food Products.
3.) Research Lab. Assistant (Ref: RLA 2010)
Job Specification:
Responsible for conducting rheological and microbiological evaluation on raw materials, products under development and finished products.
Qualifications:
(1) ND Food Science & Technology/Microbiology/Lab Science and Technology
(2) Five 0 'Level Credits, including Maths & English at not more than two sittings.
The Person:
Successful candidate must have an eye for detail, possess analytical skills and must be computer literate.
Experience:
2 yrs cognate experience in R & D environment in Food & Allied industry, research institutes or academia. Experience in food rheological and/or microbiology would be an added advantage.
4.) Pilot Plant Technician / Operator (Ref: PPT 2010)
Job Specification:
Responsible for the management of the pilot plant facilites for effective production of product samples for sensory evaulation, setting of specifications and test marketing for launch.
Qualifications:
(1) ND mechanical / Chemical / Electrical / Agricultural/ food/ Instrumentation Engineering,
(2) Five O’ Level credits, including maths & English at not more than two sittings Target driven with good communication skills.
Experience:
3 yrs cognate experience in operation/maintenance function in food processing company
5.) Product Dev. Assistant (Snacks and Cereals) (Ref: PDAS 2010)
Job Specification:
Provide assistance in the development of new and continuous re-development of existing products, identification and performance testing of all raw materials, products and manufacturing procedures for these products.
Qualifications:
(1) ND Food Technology or related field
(2) Five 0 'Level Credits, including Maths & English at not more than two sittings.
The Person:
Must be proactive, resourceful, self motivated, target driven and communicate scientific information concisely. Ability to select, implement and evaluate problem solving techniques and tools effectively
Experience:
2yrs cognate experience particularly in the flour milling, confectionery/bakery related industry; demonstrated knowledge of product development process is essential.
6.) Product Dev. Assistant (Flour and Bakery) (Ref: PDAF 2010)
Job Specification:
Assist in the development of new and continuous re-development of existing products, identification and performance testing of all raw materials, products and manufacturing procedures for these products.
Qualifications:
(1) ND Food Technology or related field
(2) Five O 'Level Credits, including Maths & English at not more than two sittings.
The Person:
Must be proactive, resourceful, self motivated, target driven and communicate scientific information concisely. Ability to select, implement and evaluate problem solving techniques and tools effectively
Experience:
2 yrs cognate experience particularly in the flour milling, confectionery /bakery related industry; demonstrated knowledge of product development process is essential.
7.) Sensory Evaluation Assistant (Ref: SEA 2010)
Job Specification:
Responsible for managing sensory evaluation activities, provide information on product sensory quality attributes and statistical analysis of sensory test data, food product tasting parameters, analysis of colour, odour & texture of food products.
