Kaduna State Local Scholarship Awards 2017 Selection Interview

Kaduna State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology - The Honourable Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology Prof. Andrew Jonathan Nok, hereby invites applications from qualified Kaduna State citizens wishing to apply for local scholarship in the 2016/2017 academic session selection interview for the award of scholarships.

Criteria for Eligibility

• Applicants for postgraduate studies should possess & minimum of first degree with second class honours Upper Division.
• Applicants must be registered full - time students of any recognized and accredited institution of higher learning
• All other applicants (UG, HND, ND and NCE) must be registered full-time students of any recognized and accredited institution of higher learning in Nigeria.

General Information
There are four (4) different scholarship schemes for applicants wishing to apply as follows:

• Need Base Scholarship
• Merit Scholarship
• Disability Scholarship
• Athletic Scholarship

Candidates are at liberty to apply for any of the aforementioned scholarship schemes according to their status.

Zone: Kachia

• Kachia, Kagarko, Z/Kataf
• Date: 13th - 20th November, 2017.
• Venue: Kachia Local Secretariat Government

Zone: Kafanchan

• Jema'a, Jaba, Sanga, Kaura
• Date: 13th - 20th November, 2017.

Application forms should be completed online as follows:

• Applicants applying for Need Based Scholarship Scheme should refer to and complete application form NO. 1 only.
• Applicants applying for Merit Scholarship Scheme should refer to and complete form NO. 2 only.
• Applicants applying for Disability Scholarship Scheme should refer to and complete form NO. 3 only.
• Applicants applying for Athletic Scholarship Scheme should refer to and complete form NO. 4 only.

Candidates are advised to make only one entry as multiple entries will be disqualified. After completing the form online, the printed copy should be submitted to the scholarship Board with the following documents:

• Admission Letter
• Academic Certificates
• Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age
• Letter of indigenization and
• 2 passports with your name written at the back and signed by you.

Note

• Every student wishing to enjoy any of the newly introduced scholarship schemes in Kaduna State, whether a newly. admitted or a continuing student, he/she must apply and follow the due process before getting award letter for sponsorship.
• Disability scholarship scheme is mainly for physically challenged applicants, while Athletic scholarship scheme is for athletes who must have represented Kaduna State and have won medal (s).
• Applicants for merit scholarship must be in their second year or above, and must have obtained a CGPA of 3.5 and above.
