We are recruiting to fill the vacant position below:

Job Title: IT Support Administrator

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Key Responsibilities
Network Management:

• Support the IT Administrator in maintaining all company's IT network, servers and security systems including Satcom on the vessels.
• Assist in Managing and evaluating the operations of information systems, communication systems and electronic data processing (EDP) infrastructure.
• Sets-up where necessary and ensure network connectivity throughout the company's LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Develops and implements policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development.

Hardware Support and Maintenance:

• Assist in managing the design, implementation and administration of computer and communication software, networks, and information systems.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues relating to hardware, software, and network operating system.
• Assisting in caring out maintenance and records the log repairs and maintenance on company’s IT infrastructure.
• Creates personnel email addresses and resolves all employee’s communication problems.
• Develops and maintains data protection and storage facilities to ensure backup of company documents and business continuity.
• Maintains current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources

Requirements, Skills & Competencies
Minimum qualification:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Technology, Software Engineering, or related fields (Master's Degree in information Technology will be an advantage).
• 2-3years’ professional experience in an operational IT role as an IT support Staff.
• IT Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CEHv8 etc.
• Certification in Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) will be an added advantage.

Ideal Skills:

• Sound experience in network and information management,troubleshooting, database design, Knowledge of SharePoint is required.
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and computer software systems.
• Must have Networking Talents and Web Internet Protocols in HTTP, such as HTTPSSL, DMS, TCP/IP, UDP, JPSEC.
• In-depth knowledge of Web technologies and tools including CSS, Ajax, Flash, JavaScript, jQuery and Web Services.
• Expert in IT security tools and methods of as VPN and SSH.
• Practical knowledge in backup and recovery procedures for routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Expert in Network administration (Configuration of Cisco router hardware, switches, operation system IOS, network connections), patch management, scripting, access control lists.
• Sound Knowledge in hardware configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
