Job Title: University Librarian

Location: Delta

Duties

• The College Librarian is a Principal Officer of the College and is responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day administration and control of the Library in the College.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates must possess a good Honours Degree in Library Science with 17 years cognate experience or a holder of Masters Library Science (MiS) with 15 years cognate experience. Possession of Ph.D is an added advantage.
• In addition, the candidate should have a good knowledge of e-library and must be registered member of Nigeria Library Association (N.L.A.).
• The candidate must also have a good number of journal publications (national/international).
• The person applying for this position must be of impeccable character.
• He/She should be trustworthy, have adequate leadership skills,ample experience, integrity, high degree of competence and dependability.
• The candidate should not be more than sixty (60) years old at the point of appointment.

Conditions of Service

• The appointment shall be for a period of five (5) years on such terms and conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment. The remuneration is as applicable to the post of a Bursar of Colleges of Education in Delta State and as may be determined from time to time by the Governing Council.
